A big update this time around taking us all the way up to shoot 29, which was the Kent Archery Association WA Star shoot this past weekend. In many of the categories the competition is now hotting up as the archers complete multiple shoots and the contenders to win the tour emerge.
Details are on the SCAYT Tour page.
Remember that double the usual tour points are available at the SCAS Junior Championships and SCAYT Final at Crystal Palace Bowmen on September 24th. That means 6 points for winning the category on the day, 4 points for coming second or third, and 2 points for coming outside of the top three. Hence a winning score in the final may not only win the SCAS Junior Championship on the day, but also make up the gap to win the tour if you are behind.
Entries are now open via Sport 80 for the SCAS Junior Championships and SCAYT Final to take part on September 24th at Crystal Palace Bowmen, Beckenham – see https://agb.sport80.com/public/wizard/e/40202.
Archers wishing to participate are advised to get their entries in early as spaces for this shoot are limited.
Any archer who has completed 3 shoots on the tour and has entered the SCAS Junior Championships and SCAYT Final can claim back £10 against their £15 entry fee (reducing the effective cost of entry to the shoot to just £5). To claim the refund please email
scayt.organiser@scasarchery.org.uk
and provide (a) the name of the archer claiming the refund, and (b) the bank details to which the refund should be paid (Account name, Account number, Sort Code and bank name). We will process your refund as quickly as we can!
